Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Pawzit collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Pawzit mobile app or website.

Effective date: July 12, 2026

Our approach: Pawzit does not sell personal information, use advertising identifiers, or use your information for targeted advertising. Your live GPS location is used temporarily to provide location features and is not stored by Pawzit.

1. Who we are

Pawzit is operated by Broad Street Park LLC (“Pawzit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Pawzit mobile applications, the Pawzit website at pawzit.app, and related services.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Your password is handled through Firebase Authentication. Pawzit does not receive or store your password in readable form.

Location information

With your permission, the app temporarily accesses your device’s precise location to show your position, display nearby waste bins and bag stations, and help you place a map pin. Pawzit does not store your live GPS location or maintain a history of where you have been.

Map contributions

When you add a location to the Pawzit map, we store:

The stored coordinates describe the bin or bag station, not your personal GPS location. The Firebase user identifier is a pseudonymous account identifier used to associate a contribution with an account.

Feedback

If you submit feedback, we store the text you enter and the submission time. Pawzit does not automatically attach your name, email address, account identifier, device information, or sign-in status to the feedback. Because feedback is free text, please do not include information you do not want us to receive.

App analytics and crash information

Pawzit uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. Analytics events may include screen views, account sign-in or sign-up, starting guest mode, adding a marker and its type, submitting feedback, deleting an account, and showing or dismissing a paywall. These events do not include your name, email address, or the text of your feedback.

Pawzit uses Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports and error logs. These reports may include app and device information, operating-system information, crash details, and pseudonymous identifiers that help group reports from the same app installation or user.

Website analytics

The Pawzit website uses Google Analytics to collect information such as page views, sessions, approximate location, browser and device information, scrolling, and outbound-link clicks. Google may process IP addresses and device or browser identifiers to provide this service.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

4. How we share information

We use Google Firebase and Google Analytics as service providers for authentication, database hosting, analytics, and crash reporting. These providers process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or misuse, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and Pawzit does not use advertising identifiers.

5. Data retention and account deletion

Some information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or backup integrity.

6. Your choices and rights

You may use Pawzit in guest mode for many features. You can control location permission through your device settings. You may delete your account from within the app or use our account deletion page if you no longer have access to the app.

You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some Analytics and Crashlytics records are pseudonymous and may not be identifiable as belonging to your account.

7. Children’s privacy

Pawzit is intended for users age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information to Pawzit may contact us.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International processing

Pawzit and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.

10. Third-party services and links

Pawzit may link to app stores, social-media services, and other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Pawzit changes. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or another appropriate method.
